Is it guaranteed to get a new IP each time you connect?

Do I still have to keep a spreadsheet of ip's for this dongle?

OK I will try and give you a helpful answer.

I expect you will get a new IP, but I am not sure, it would be rather inefficient for them to reserve an IP for you which you might only use occasionally, it would cost them money to do that so I doubt they would. So I expect a new IP every time, but possible you get same one if you reconnect quickly.

Second bit, yes you can keep a log but what is the point of doing that?

You are identified by your login, not you IP, but sometimes site can ban your IP,however that is infective as IP's can be changed so IP are not a reliable method of identification.

That's really nice, but I have personally answered this user directly concerning this topic in other threads AND there are dozens of other topics regarding the issue.

And of course, always keep track of IPs. Sure, you may get hundreds or thousands, but the word GUARANTEE does not exist here nor should you blatantly act like it ever will.

This thread is a bit old, but the good question in it was ruined and shadowed by the dumb question. Of course keeping an IP log is a good idea.

The main question... Does the Virgin mobile dongle (usb stick) give you a new IP address each time? Do you change IP's with a MAC address?
