change ip address problem
 

ok i have had several ebay and paypal accounts in the past, just found out that i need to change all my details in order to escape being traced. bought the ebay stealth book, read it but come unstuck when i got to the ip address i did everything it said but ip address didnt change!!! please help:pry:

If your are using DSL, unplug your power cord on your moden for a few minutes and then plug it back in, this will change your ip. At least this workes for me. good luck

dinamic IP - can change
static IP - can not change
ask you internet provider
if it's static, ask for a dinamic, if not possible, change the provider.

You might have a static IP. If so that will not change.

Tell us what you are using and we can then see what is the best way to resolve the problem.

i had that same problem and I tried EVERYTHING, ATT UVERSE had static IP and there is nothing you can do to change it. I even got a new modem and routher and that did nto work.
My options were to go with comcast of someone like that or pay ATT exrta $15 a month to buy block of 5 new IP addresses
I ended up paying extra $15 a month and its been 10 months now, I have 5 great grown account and no problems. So you just have to figure out what you have and best way to do that is call your internet company tech support

ok ive tried unplugging all day and plugging it back in - no joy
im with sky and they said my address is not static
still cant change my ip???:mad2:

you can use dialup internet, heard that works, it will be slow but at least you will have a different ip every time you log in...good luck

Dial-up is doable but really slow - have you searched the forums for SKY provider? I don't remember whether static or dynamic but I am SURE there are posts about this.
