Hi Dano
Many members here do no recommend VPN including myself. I used one once - account didn't last very long.
I can say I have had no problem at all vith VPS, and I have used a number of different providers.
It's actually possible to administer an account from overseas, but I would start off with a VPS, or VPN(if that's what you choose). Otherwise, they will see an account that may have been dormant for sometime, get's logged into from Italy which may raise flags. But if you used a VPS for say one month(one month free trials are commonly available), then switched to your Italy IP then I think you would have less problems. They will probably just ask you to confirm your registration details "what street did you grow up on" etc.
Good luck

P.S If you sign up to VPS/ VPN then best get a US ip address, from Dialup internet, otherwise when you register they will ask you to send documents

Thank you for your answer!! The funny things is one, before i read your reply, i was reading some old posts speaking about VPN, in one of this there are you!! I noticed your avatar and i want to tell you that is fantastic!! Then i come back in my own thread and i see that you left a reply!! Strange world!!
However, i think to try VPN ( strongvpn) or a VPS, but in this case i don't know how can be used!

Yes I am often on the IP threads, i'm from the UK, but live all over Europe so I am using VPS etc.
Ok not sure about Strong VPN.
Also make sure you use Auctiva as this program hides your IP address, some things cannot be done with Auctiva, and you need something for Paypal that's where VPS/VPN comes in.
VPS is slower than VPN, but if you are not using it so much there it's ok.
I go for the Windows based VPS as you can surf the web from the start. This is possible with non-windows VPS, but I don't know how.

Dedicated, you can also add extra IP's, but those IP's will be sequential ie 12.45.23.454 then 12.45.23.455

Usually dedicated.
A USA user has far better options than VPS/VPN.
paypal especially dislike these methods of access.
What are your plans?

Yes if you are not overseas to your own country then there is no sense in using VPS. Better off using mobile internet to get a Fresh IP

Members in Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Cyprus, Estonia, Gibraltar, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Philippines, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay can withdraw funds to credit cards that accept withdrawals.
Otherwise if you are living in an EU country(which it appears you are not) you can open up bank accounts in another Euro country.
Also some countries outside welcome foreigners opening accounts, though I don't know many that accept online applications.
Otherwise there are "cashing out method" without withdrawing to bank or CC. Those have been discussed in this forum
But back to VPS/VPN as I said I would advise this in the beginning at least. Would surely raise a flag to see a new account opened in one country, then straight away logged into regularly form another

What begins with T, ends in O, and sounds like Old You Sow?
If it doesn't work with Ebay you can always use it to watch overseas TV for free

using a VPN is going to be like playing a game of wack-a-mole
its not going to last.
that isn't to say a VPN won't work... cause it will, you've just got to set it up yourself...which means finding a state side contact.

Google them up sandiepiggott but VPS is much better since VPNs tend to get burned and are easily identifiable to eb and pp
