Logging into UK Paypal from china

Hi,

I moved to china earlier this year to expand my ebay business and help with my sourcing.

I have had issues with paypal accounts getting limited when logging into them from here using a VPN.

eBay accounts seem ok but PP isnt liking it.

Im using astrill VPN if that helps.

What can i do as this is a problem if i need to check up on things myself.

Thanks

Are you saying you have had accounts limited SINCE you went to China?

Not clear in your info?

paypal never likes VPNs.:juggle:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,

I am from the UK and like most of us here have had accounts limited in the past when i still lived there. Thanks to the stealth guide i moved on from this without too many repercussions.

Since moving here i have had one of my stealth accounts limited because i logged into a PP account the make a withdrawal as the guy who works for me there was off for a week.

This was a mistake.

eBay does not seem to mind me using the VPN but PP could see right though it.

My problem now is that if i ever need to log into a PP account from here i cant by any of the means i am aware of.

I think best to buy a few UK eB and PP accounts for back up and filter a few small sales through them but i really need a way of logging into PP.

Many thanks

Just to add this PP acct was limited purely down to my location, i have not had an account limited in the past 3 years thanks to the steps in the stealth guide.

remote access to another computer located in the u.k is the best solution.

If you need any help.

Hi TizWoz,

Thanks for the reply.

I remember your username from a few years ago when i first started using this forum, i believe we pm'd eachother a couple of times and you helped me then (i had a different username at the time which i cant recall now)

If you could do so again now that would be great as im a bit lost with this at the moment.

Thanks

have a normal pc back in UK.
use a system like teamviewer or pc anywhere and access that computer from china. should be fine. remote access.

You need to give PP what they ask for. No other way of fixing the account.

Once supplied and accepted you will be ok to access from here as you wish. But if you want to have people access from both the UK and here then you need to follow TW's advice. If you don't then you will get limited every single time your IP changes country. Even if you tell them you are moving somewhere other than here they will limit you, again and again and again...

LogMeIn is an option.

你好! :D

Does the remote computer need to be switched on all the time? Could cost a bomb in electricity bills if it needs to be switched on all the time. Seems impractical

FizzyFish 07-28-2012 06:24 AM

Depends.

It is possible to remotely start a computer using remote access.

It's not as expensive as you think.

Part of the equation is to have a 'proficient' person working with you.

That moneysaving forum once quoted .60p daily ( several years ago)

There is a specific formula to work out running costs

It only needs to be on when the person accessing it needs to access it.

the main thing is that the computer been accessed need to be ethernet connected , a dongal or wireless connection is not really any good.

Hi,

Paypal were told that i am in china and still limited the account after a few log ins when a large amount of money was withdrawn.

They say there is no way of guaranteeing that this wont happen again as its a security risk. That seems to be that on the matter.

The same can be said for Santander bank who block access to online banking after every 3/4 log ins, i have to phone them each time to unblock. Halifax dont seem to have this problem. Both banks know i have moved to china.

My second choice was to make Chinese accounts and sell on ebay UK setting item location as UK. This also appears to have its issues as the accounts have sales limits.

Ideal scenario for me is buying a couple of UK verified accounts and using a remote log in software as suggested above, i hope to try this out soon and get back on the road with this idea.

Thanks
