How to get a new IP Address for my iPhone?
 

Hey,

It's been suggested by GreenBean to ask the forums this question :)

Im just in the process of creating a new paypal account after being blacklisted. Before all my limits are lifted etc i wanted to change my IP Address of my iPhone as i plan on using it in the future to access PayPal.

Thing is, i cannot find a way to assign it a new wireless IP Address. The articles that i've read so far are dated like 3 years back so not been successful as of yet.

Do any of you know how to change it please? Thanks

(Already tried clearing cookies, data and history. Flicking aeroplane mode off and on. Turning phone and router off and on)

if your usimg your phone use 3g, which internet provider are you with?

yes use 3g, and connect your laptops to your iphone and use the 3g connection, also if you go on to your bt hub typing in 192.168.0.1, getting into your router, disconnect from there wait 10minutes, write your current ip address down, then once you connect again, check your IP it should change

You can also get a new IP by resetting the BT router.

If you are tethering with an iphone, use the phone's 3g. You should get a new IP every time you enable / disable flight mode.

Depends on where you are at... There are several of us on here that have had trouble getting anything but the same 15-IP or so tethering iphone... For me iphone tethering is no longer efficient and had to get a mifi...

Be careful with smartphone, your case is iPhone.
You have to run search "ip" with google or ipburger to get real external IP.
The IP which is given to your phone is not IP eb track.
