I cant change my ip address?

It wont let me change my ip address i log into my routers login and i did everything in the stealth book twice and it still doesnt change? i have a netgear router. I also tried to go the mac address way and it still doesn't do it?

I have been trying to change my IP address and it is not working. Unplugged, left over night, got a new modem and still the same IP. I use time warner cable. Is my computer or router holding it? Are they tracking LAN or WAN?

I am having the same problem. I have satellite internet, does that make any difference in how you change the IP?
