How to mask your IP Address with a VPS? Please need help.
 

I have a vps and a few ip addresses on a cloud server.

now i am really confused, how do you connect to your VPS server and surf the web on the ip address's they give you?

anyone know?

This is how you can connect to your VPS server using windows remote desktop connection :

1. Click Start button.

2. Click on the All Programs menu.

3. Click on the Accessories menu.

4. Click on the Remote Desktop Connection program.

5. Type in your IP Address of your server in the Computer field.

6. Click on the Connect button.

7. Type in your username as Administrator.

8. Type in your Administrator password.

You will now be logged into your VPS server remotely as long as the user credentials match.

Are you using the VPS for eBay or Amazon?

I'm asking because I was always wondering how it would be possible to set up Amazon accounts with a VPS. The problem is that if the accounts are all running from the same server, then the computer MAC address will be the same for all of them and Amazon would detect it.

Very few VPS uses RDP because it's only supported by Windows and VPSes that runs on Windows costs a lot. The only way to figure out how to access your VPS is by contacting your service provider, as accessing your VPS may range from using a console only interface such as SSH to a more common graphics-based solution such as VNC.

^^^ Window VPSes are plenty and they don't cost that much.

OP looked like a neophyte concerning VPSes so I assumed he wanted to use a window VPS, Linux VPS are a lot harder to use unless you know how Linux works.

is this in fact true that if i use a VPS with the servers ip, does it still trace my MAC Address? i know how to change my mac address, i am just curious.

have you been successful with ebay/pp on creating an account using a vps? has there been any problems in the long run? what are some good providers thanks

I have but unfortunately nobody is going to tell you where they got their VPS from since if they started telling people, word would spread and then it would stop working...
