replying to email via ipad: is it dangerous
 

Hey everybody,
I have a question. I recently opened an email from Ebay, but I didn't click on anything. It gets automatically sent on my iPad. Can they track me from there? Even though I didn't click anything and immediately deteled?

Help!!

depends on the settings of the email service. What was the service? Gmail, yahoo?

First you need to answer cjmixers question on which email service you are using on that specific email address.

It's extremely unlikely you will be linked by email alone but you need to make sure you turn on any setting that will block images from showing in the email.

It was Hotmail.

viewed from my iPad. I only viewd the email about 2 seconds then deleted it.

Just as a side note, I personally suggest you use Gmail for future stealth email since it allows to block images.

Does gmail have this feature already enabled? Or do you have to enable it yourself? Definitely will give a try!

If you continue to use hotmail, disable images and beacons of all e-mails received

Gmail have a setting called 'sneak peek' would like to know if they track you via that.
The email isn't opened at all, just a right click on the email and a small box floats with the email in.

Gmail is Fine on ipad/iphone etc... Just to make sure go to your setting mail, and make sure not to show images

good stuff Gmail is the best. I use it on all stealth accounts
