Quick Question about IP
 

If you attempted to log in to one of your accounts but you repeatedly inputed the wrong password, does ebay still catch your ip address even if at the end you did not log in?

The minute you go to ebay's website your IP is logged, and also when you try to login, same goes for Paypal's website.

I understand that; however, let me explain my concern in more depth. I have two legit accounts but I keep them separately. About a week ago, I accidentally input the wrong username (my first account username) and my password (my second account password) and I was using the internet (IP for the second account), than I realized my careless mistake BUT I did not log in at the end. I hope that make more sense. I am just worried that ebay now has an idea that those accounts are somewhat linked, is it possible even though I did not log in?

You should be fine, It's happened to me and nothing bad has happened. Just need to be careful not to do a lot.
