| garvin | 11-05-2012 02:29 PM | T-Mobile Rocket 4G Hi! This is probably a stupid question, but I was just wondering. I have a T-Mobile Rocket 4G, and currently it's connected under Dial-UP and VPN and not Mobile Broadband Connection. Is that right? I just want to make sure I'm using this device correctly. I had some problems installing it today. I know using a VPN is not the way to go.
Thanks. |
You really should be running on Mobile Broadband, unless it's too expensive for you. Also ditch the VPN, your not in Europe trying to log into US. Even if your several states away you will be fine. I have 5 accounts in different States. I believe T-Mobile Broadband is $25 for 1.5GB for 30 days.
I'm a casual seller and I use the T-Mobile Rocket 4G with the monthly pass just because it's so easy to use and a nice amount of IP ranges.
Here is the link to purchase data plans. http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/m...ported Browser |
| garvin | 11-05-2012 03:56 PM | Thanks. But I'm on the 5 GB monthly plan. That's why I'm wondering why I'm connected to VPN through the rocket. |
Ahmm then stop using the VPN! lol. |

I use the att version. |

I'd like to find the best mobile broadband service with virtually no duplicate IP's. I don't use a lot of bandwidth, but cost is really not a fracture. Stable, speed, plenty of IP's are my main criteria. Should I be looking at tethering or another dongle service? |
I would explore tethering as well. |

Perhaps having another 2 or 3 different Dongles from different Providers will help with the IP situation.
You can also add tethering to the Mix so that's another set of IP's at your disposal. |

This is for AZ |
ok, the thread is under Ebay Tracking...I don't know about Amazon. |
With tethering, you phone becomes the modem so your IPs become dynamic - then you use your computer to access your own 'wifi' network... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:38 PM. | |
