i see my same ip address when i connect to a vps is the vps working?

or no? because i just made a new ebay and listed something for sale but it said i had connection to a vps but when i checked my ip address it was the same. did it change and i just didn't see it?

You googled your IP address? That might point to a cached copy or something. It might be more reliable to run ipchicken.
