Hi all, am i missing any important steps here before i link myself !?!



Mac tethering with a Blackberry Z10 when making a new user account



For the Mac.

New admin user account

Disconnect router, turn off airport


On the Blackberry.

Turn off wifi, data services & mobile hotspot

Turn on internet tethering.

When logging off or in need of a new ip, simply turn on airplane mode for a few minutes, then turn the internet tethering back on.



Have i missed any important steps out?

I think you have to leave data serivices on as that is what you connect to the internet with,i do with my n8 anyway.

Thanks for telling me about the airport mode..i was wondering why my new z10 was coming up with the same IP :)

I tether my android on one of my computers

Slower then what I have but it works.

Airplane mode then undo and check ip etc.

Have used this for a long while now.

Cannot remember last time I got a repeat IP.

Run IP Burger - Track Your IP Address! before & after to keep a log of your IPs.... a little extra work. But in the long run, you know you are not risking getting the same IP.
