New internet.... need help
 

My house internet is the 15mb time warner internet...... Now for my new ebay account what i did was got a separate modem and a separate connection....

I have 2 questions here....

1st:The internet is under my name..... can they somehow find that out?

2nd:The two modems are connected to the same wire.... Does that matter in anyway as for linking it to my suspended accounts?

They cannot find out your name, so long as the IP address is new and you have not used it to log into a banned account and it changes between EB accounts, if you are doing multiples, then you are fine.

Same wire ? Come on man what does that mean? Give some good details I will hook you up with the know how to get down!

Just as a note, to use two modem on the same phone line at the same time does not work. If you do want to do that then you need to split the telephone lin. An engineer would have to come out to install a frequency splitter (or you can do this yourself if you know how).

Its cable internet, when getting the 2nd modem they gave me a splitter

2. If it's just a splitter than it means you only have 1 IP for the entire house to access internet...if someone else uses eB or pp on another computer you could be linked. Invest in a dongle, smartphone tether or other IP provider to have separate lines going.

Or - if you being economical - you need to make sure that no other eB/pp on another computer is working....turn off the modem....grab a new IP (make it on)...make new stealth account

What does the term 'make it on' mean?

The ISP is Time Warner.... are you sure that there would be a new IP generated in any case?
