question about dongles

if I buy a dongle and do not subscribe to a service how are you able to connect to the internet. Does it connect through your current isp and than show a different address.

You will need a service provider for the IP connection - whichever one supports that dongle.

Doesnt really show "address" but will give new IP.

:doh:, How on earth do you plan to use a dongle without a service provider? If you don't subscribe to a provider all you have is a useless dongle.... :doh:

so will the ip change each time with something like a virgin mobile dongle. I want to be able to use different Ips and not be caught by ebay as this is what has went wrong a few times. I hate dial up because of it being so slow and also they caught me a few times with dial up for some reason.

How do you think they "caught" you with dial-up? What mistakes do you think you made? Hope you have learned. I use dial-up with lots of success
