Can ebay track your exact location of your ip?
 

i went to one of the find ip address websites and one of them had the longitude and latitude.

i have an account on ebay that is suspended, if i use another computer with another ip address and create a new one account with everything different, will they know it was me?

There is no way of knowing it is you if you do not use any of the same information from a suspended account. Just follow the book and you should be fine.

The IP only tell your location, not who you are! As long as you don't have a few hundred suspended accounts at the same location you should be fine.

Those ip trackers are usually 50 or so miles off, sometimes more.

you're right. but when i used my desktop with someone's else wireless network, it's so close to my address.

we here in uk who are on BT broadband can only be tracked back to BT server in basildon essex . all users tracked back to one location. thanks to them. 2 million poss users

you can easy track yourself as there is software or websites that show your location. just google it

i used that and came up in basildon essex. 76 miles from my real location

i'm a computer technician and am taking computer courses in college in networking and computer forensics and yes it can be traced through routing exactly back to your computer.

ok then how ??? when it comes up as one server . tell us how then !!!! all the data i have here locates to isp provider. possibly to stop problems of hackers also netgear has a total firewall. you can check it anywhere and its invisible. i have checked it a hundered times at shields up. i do not exist on the internet .

False premise that you do not exist on the internet. There is a computer nerd sitting in a cubicle somewhere who has written a program that can and {heavens forbid} might trace you.;)
And I think that the name of the building where that the computer nerd works is either that of the CIA or MI6. There are programs much more sophisticated than the general ones allowed for use by the public in existence. They are covert operating systems:rolleyes:

ip trackers lol, crikey the software my company run (BT) cant even tell you the correct distance of the cables in the ground, it's close but a guestimate.

There is, copper, Aluminium, Now Fibre all in the ground with different rates, different thickness's the lot there's no way anyone could tell you that lol!

Yeah it's not always right, I like to use tracert, it's a little better at times.

Sometimes geotargetting gets it wrong and says you're in another state, even saying a city name in another state in the reverse DNS.

Right, it's not perfect, not even close. But sometimes it'll help you out when you need it.
