Can you use MAC address changing to switch back and forth between set IP addresses?

Let's say your MAC address is set to what you call, Setting A. You record your IP address.
You change it to Setting B. You record your IP address.
After five minutes, you change it back to Setting A.

Would changing back to Setting A give you the same IP address you had when you were previously on Setting A?

Why is there a greater than usual concern about the mac address? I thought that if a log was kept of IP addresses and the other procedures done, then a user was within ebay's operating standards. Might changing mac address create more problems for noobs?

I am sure this was discussed some months back. Has anything changed?

If you do this twice, whether or not this ends up being the first IP address is the luck of the draw. But, IP addresses are recycled and over time you may well end up with the same IP.

That's what I had thought but someone else on this forum was getting their previous IP address for some odd reason.

I run about six accounts at one time, so I kind of have to do it. Besides, what's wrong with MAC address spoofing?

Ehmm...anyone going to answer my question?

From my experience, yes. I'm using Time Warner Cable's Road Runner in NC. I can only "juggle" 4 IP's at a time though. But yes, I've been able to hold onto the same 4 IP's for weeks at a time.
