Obtaining a New IP Adress for Beginner

I followed the Stealth Instructions on changing the IP address...

I went into my NETGEAR Router and change the MAC address and it assigned a new IP address, do I still need to shut everything off as directed in the the Stealth guide or am I secure with the address change?

As long as you get a new IP you don't have to shut everything off.

Use IP Burger - Track Your IP Address! to see your IP, then change your MAC address, go back to IP Burger - Track Your IP Address!, if the IP address has changed then your good to go

As long as you got the new IP, you are good to go - follow all other steps to be stealth too.
