Activity: 0% Longevity: 63% | | Loggin out of ebay? Switching between accounts question
If I am logged out of ebay can they still track me and see my IP?
I ask because lets say I am in one user account. I have one ip, i am signed into 1 account and I want to switch.
Can I sign out of ebay, change my ip, then change user names, check my ip there to be sure, and log in?
I Just want to be sure that once I am logged out of ebay, they are no longer able to see my ip.
If this is incorrect, please tell me how to switch between accounts.

Make sure you log off the windows account, and don't just switch accounts.

But while on one user account, if I am logged out of ebay, can I for example turn on my regular internet and use it (so as to save tether data)? If I am logged out of ebay, can they see my ip?

NO! You are only thinking about one part of how ebay links you...the IP part. There is also something that is shared regarding cookies on a Windows session.
Once you log out of eBay you break the original connection established (tcp headers that are sent to ebay contain your source IP address and the destination IP address - which is eBay).
If you log back into eBay you establish a new connection w/ a new tcp header that has a different IP address, well it looks different to eBay.
But eBay also checks cookies, not just IP headers. So you want to ensure you are switching between Windows accounts. Cookies do not carry over between Windows accounts.

I amend the above statement...I thought you wanted to log out of eBay and then start tethering on another eBay account on the same Windows account.
JamesNorth101 is right, you can browse normally on other sites as long as it's not an eBay affiliated site (half.com, paypal).

Amysol
Make sure that you use 1 ebay account per Windows account.
Otherwise you will be linked even if you loggout of ebay.
Ebay leaves cookies on your computer after you logout. If ebay see cookies from different users on the same browser, all the accoubts will be linked

If you want to be extra cautious when connecting to your house internet to saver tethering data, simply browse with a different browser

I appreciate everyone's answers...and I think that I am correct by saying I can log out of ebay. Turn off my tether. Turn on my home wifi (burned by ebay) and use it to access the internet on the same user name, so long as I turn off that wifi to log back into, or open any other ebay affiliated pages. WARNING EBAY LINK
So if I open www.ebay.com but I am not logged in, it can still read my ip?

I Just want to be sure that once I am logged out of ebay, they are no longer able to see my ip.
If this is incorrect, please tell me how to switch between accounts. | Here's the how this scenario would work:
1. You log into Account A with IP 55.65.444.434 (NOT A REAL IP)
2. You log off Account A
3. You switch to Account B with IP 55.65.444.433 (NOT A REAL IP)
4. You log off Account B
Once you logged off Account A Ebay/Paypal CANNOT read the IP from Account A anymore, it has changed (assuming you made sure to change IPs).

MM78---
You made it as clear as it can get.
One of the most simple things about stealth is making sure you understand IP's and how to check and keep track of them.
Also how to use different user accounts to separate everything.

In the beginning switching accounts and logging and changing IPs may seem like alot, but if u do the same thing everyday and do it right it becomes second nature and really easy.
If your looking for shortcuts don't do it

Thanks all. I totally get about switching user and IP for each new ebay log in.
Just wasn't sure if I was signed out of ebay, what if anything they could continue to see.

I run multiple computers with multiple IPs and never an issue.
I am on 3 ebay accounts right now answering questions, listing on Esty and on here as well.
Can be done with being organized.
