it all sounds very confusing with one saying this another saying that what is the best way thanks

Acronyms galore I don't know what any of them are can someone please explain :doh:

Slade I would suggest you look into a USB Modem or as most call them...Dongles. These are great because you can use them on the go and at home.

Do a quick search for UK Dongles in the forum, tons of threads.

A google search will give a full explanation of all these terms.

As MM78 has said above and as I advised you via PM, the easiest option for IP in the UK is a mobile broadband dongle.

Could someone please show me how I can use a VPS for stealth purposes?

A VPS is an actual service, You have to sign up with a provider.

Only person confused appears to be you.

TOR is proven to be less than suitable for ideal stealth ebay/paypal operations.

If you have a car that runs on hi-octane fuel, do you put diesel in its tank?

I hope not.

If you are new to stealth and get advised to avoid a certain option, I hope you make a sensible choice.
Example here is to avoid TOR.

If you are UK based you would consider other options.

Before you even start to make an stealth account, learn the words that come into play. You need to know them to operate.

Majoirty of stealth work has acronyms. Learn them now.

The thread was geared to ways of masking true IP's and attaining new ones.

Just start off basic, if you are in the UK and selling on UK EB. Then just try changing your IP through your modem (as long as the IP is dynamic) or check out dongles as @MM had pointed out.

No need to look into other ways unless you are planning on using an EB platform in another country.

Dongle, cellphone tethering, your own IP provider via cable or DSL...or dial-up - all examples of how to get IP.

VPS - you need to read more up on this to implement this way.

VPN and proxies...not recommended - eB knows about numerous VPNs and proxies and this can lead to banning.

Dont use TOR for eB/pp...period.
