Anyone know how broad a range of ip addresses one has in alarge metro area?
Okay, I like within a clump of several major cities. I think there are 3, maybe 4, different area codes among them. I want to eventually get back to selling some of the items I used to sell but I remember from running searches that there were usually less than half a dozen people who sell this stuff within my area code on a regular basis. Now, when I broaden that search to one or two of the other area codes, in the adjoining cities, I get a much great number of sellers within this specific category. So, question is, I can make my phone number use whatever area code I want it to be so if I want to try and hide in the crowd, would I be okay to use area codes from adjoining large metro areas to mine? We are talking probably, max, 45 miles radius of ip coverage. Would that jive with my location? In other words, how do I know how broad of a range the ip addresses I use, (and they change every time I unplug my modem?), are? I'll give you an example, not my part of the country but will be comparable in terms of the cities and their proximity to each other. If I lived in Arlington, Virginia....would I be safe using an area code in DC or right across the border in Maryland? Or would that stick out like a sore, previousl- suspended-and-trying-to-hide, thumb? |
