Tethering iphone 4s on ATT but IP changes midway through use?
 

Hey guys I set up 2 stealth accounts recently and so far so good. But today I noticed that after leaving the computer for 10 minutes and coming back, I checked ipburger.com and my ip had changed on its own. Luckily it wasn't used on my other account. Still just a scary thought and I wasn't expecting it. For those who have experience tethering on ATT or just tethering in general, how often does this happen and should I be overly worried? It kind of makes me feel not safe using my phone to tether.

I've read threads on here about a lot of you guys also on ATT who say that they've experienced a very limited range of IPs. So far I've gotten a duplicate once out of maybe 30 tries, and all the ips are identical except for the last couple digits. I can see this becoming a problem in the future as I scale up with more accounts. I'm currently looking into other cost effective methods of changing my IP, namely hot spots and dongles. I'm leaning towards Verizon right now. Thoughts?

As long as the IP is different by 1 digit, you should be safe. Unfortunately tethering does have its Cons as well, such as duplicate IP's, Random IP switching while logged into 1 account, some may see slow speeds.

So with a dedicated hot spot I wouldn't have to worry about random ip switching while logged in? That to me poses the biggest problem right now.
