T- Mobile Hotspot IP Address Problem!!
 

I was using a BroadBand Tmobile Hotspot with a prepaid $25 pass, The IP address changes sometimes and sometimes it doesn't when I turn it off and back on. Also the same IP address shows up again at a later date. Does anyone else have this problem?

Is there a better Mobile broadband hotspot out there that will change IP address everytime?

Yea I just got a tmobile post paid SIM card for a phone/ tablet it's like the note 2 and it does change but takes time , Verizon is the best data off data on new IP

Try putting the phone in airplane mode for a few seconds and see what happens. I have been doing this on Metro PCS.

T-Mobile has this issue and it has been talked about before on the forum many times. Stay away from them for Ste.alth.

I was about to open a new thread related to this.

So I have an unlimited t mobile plan , I tether to access my 2 stealth accounts via my iphone 5 with different windows user accounts. Now usually the ip's switch every time i turn on my hotspot which is about 4-5 times a day, so i access a different account every time with a new IP, and ofc i log everything.

But im stuck now as I need to access account #1, but the ip that i got was already used to account #2 . I tried turning on airport mode, resetting etc to no avail.. Still used IP. Now i have to wait some time before ill try and get a new ip/

Anybody have any suggestions as to what to do for next time?

You don't say how long you waited? If it was me I would try both try turning the phone off and putting it in and out of AP mode. I have Samsung SIII so I can't speak about iPhone. I toggle between 5 accts. all day long without issue. Something else I want to mention is I don't know about T-mobile Metro's sister company but on MetroPCS unlimited does not mean mobile hot spot. Only get 2.5gb B4 massive slow down. I was even thinking of adding another line to pick up the slack but if I stay the same usage I should be okay about 80-90mb per day average a month for me.

I havent been able to get a new IP address at all. Tried airplane mode on/off, then tried hotspot on/off. Is there any trick to this or is tmobile just useless for ebay?

For which cell phone smokescreen? Or are you working with the dongle...makes a difference...

I am using the Galaxy 4, no dongle, tried the hotspot on the phone, turned it off/on, restarted the phone, airplane mode, IP address didnt change.

Dang man I just bought a tmobile rocket. I am currently using sprint and running into same ips already. How many ip addresses have you logged on tmobile?

Well I havent come across the same IP twice, it is just a pain in the ass to get a new IP address.

I use the hotspot with my note 2 and it's definitely my least recommended , I do get different IPs just takes long to switch them, I put airplane mode for 3 minutes and that does the trick. I also have a Verizon hotspot and that has the biggest pool of IPs ever and changes simply in a fraction of a second

How much do you pay for verizon? How slow is it to get a different IP on verizon?

I use virgin mobile. Great for stealth. Great range of IP. Really fast if you can get 4G.

4G is a big plus for users.

Even in OZ, it is great.

I actually purchased it off ebay. This rocket is crap, the signal is very bad at my house and also having trouble getting a new ip address on this thing. Also very slow for 4g. Took me about an hr to list 2 items. Probaly try to sell it

First of all as anyone who has Tmobile knows their 4G sucks and is not real 4G. They claim they have LTE which is true but only in very limited areas. Quite often I have to reboot my phone before I can even aquire an IP address through tethering.

Secondly I have the same issue with IP addresses not changing and have found I usually need to wait at least an hour as rebooting and changing modes does not work. This is not a huge deal since I am usually only dealing with one steal account at a time since I rotate accounts which I sell from.

I am not 100% sure but tmobile merged their towers with metro pcs a few months ago and everybody's service was sucky for a while. Now metro's has returned to the great 4g that it was before the merge. It was my understanding that tmoblie had many more towers and metro had the 4g so they combined the 2.

I use att Mifi liberate, with 5gb per month for $50 no contract just month to month. Ip changes everytime and repeats once in a blue moon
