Keep getting the same handful of IPs with hotspot

Hey guys I use my smart phone to create its own personal hotspot and I enable airplane mode to switch between IPs.

I have been using this method for three stealth accounts for a few weeks now. I am about to create a fourth stealth account. However, when I use airplane mode to bring up a new IP to begin my fourth account, I keep getting IP addresses I have already used on the other 3 accounts!

I have been hitting airplane mode on and off and refreshing IP burger for the past 15 minutes and I keep getting IP addresses I have already logged onto other accounts.

Is this part of the game? Is it supposed to take this long to bring up IPs that haven't been used? Is this part of the challenge? Do all of you wait this long when trying to bring up new IPs?

I mean I have a decent amount of IPs logged, but again, it's only 3 weeks worth. If I am having this much trouble bringing up a new IP to create this new stealth account, then what's going to happen when it's time to actually RUN it???

Depends on your Service Provider.

I have IP logs dating a couple of years back. Only ever hit 5 at the most in a row, and that is very uncommon

I would look into a new ISP, or at least a secondary ISP.

I have at&t. Any experience with this ISP?

I know that I use Verizon , and they have a healthy amount of different IP addresses. You should also track what accounts used what IPs so you can use those again!

Yes i keep track of which IPs are used for which accounts. It just seems to keep giving me IPs i have already used before on my accounts, rendering them useless for my new stealth accounts

I use too use AT&T but stopped after getting a dongle (USB Modem). I noticed that with 3G I got a nice amount of IP's but on 4G I got a ton of repeat IP's. Also remember that your IP range will depend on your service location so if you live in the city you will have more IP's than if you live in a rural area.

MM78, thank you for your input. Can you refer me to the type of dongle that you are using for your stealth accounts?

I am using Verizon Wireless with $50/Month (5GB) and the actual Dongle is the following:

There are other Dongles and Providers but by far Verizon is the best to Me.

What happens is their IP pool can be limited.

You should consider another option to access the internet.

PDA net works well. Although, the numbers are very different.. have not repeated for me just yet. Not sure if its normal or not... but only the last 2 or three digits ever change.

Re: Keep getting the same handful of IPs with hotspot

I just recently started using ATT tethering on my iPhone as well and I'm currently running 5 stealth accounts. After using tethering for 3 days, I'm already running into IP's repeating. One thing I'm also scared about is I checked my IP before logging in to my account, and then checked it again and it had changed with out even me turning the hotspot off
I'm afraid it will change to one I've already used on a different account and link them.

The sudden change of ip justt happened to me, too.

I'm guessing when the network switches cell towers for a better signal can trigger this 'automatic' ip change. This may expllain why enabling 'airplane' mode then, enabling data network can change ip.

For people with having problems being stuck on one ip after powering off device / toggling airplane mode, try moving location. Even a few feet distance or whatever may cause a bad signal may cause it change towers / ip. (if I am correct, I'm not sure that ip's are assigned to individual towers / network boxes).

I use t-mo. 4g/3g

This is why I have moved onto a Dongle, but its not to say that with a Dongle you won't ever get repeat IP's. Verizon does have a large IP range.

Thank you guys for the replies.

I am having the same problem with my ip getting switched on me while operating under an account as well.

I think it's clear that AT&T is no good for the purposes of stealth accounts. I am switching the Verizon ASAP. My buddy has the last 5 numbers of his IP change with verizon as opposed to AT&T where only my last two numbers change.

He hasn't run into a duplicate IP yet. Definitely going to try them out.

What I do is have a variety of ISPs.

I make sure the IP range is vast.

Good work for sorting this issue quickly.

Even Verizon duplicates IPs. Overall a good ISP though
3G is the hassle there
