Need help in changing IP address!!
 

I have purchased the eBay Stealth and when I came across to the IP address changing part, I almost tried every single option except the VPN option(extra cost needed)that could help me with changing the IP address. However, I could not change it at all. I used another router to try to get a new Wan MAC address but it doesnt not sees to work. And I have tried so many times to repeat the broadband connection option by changing the MAC address and the results were the same. It is so frustrating. Is there anyone having the same situation as I am? What can I do if none of them work for me? Thanks!

Have you tried the simplest method first.

Take of note of your IP on IPBurger

Turn off your router/modem

Wait 60 seconds

Turn it on

Take a note of the new IP on IPBurger.

If its changed then your good to go.

If it has not, the first thing I would to is ring my ISP and ask if the IP is static of dynamic. If its static, ask if you can be moved onto a dynamic IP.

Failing this you can use USB dongles or phone tethering.

thank you for answering, unfortunately I tried that option as well and it didnt work. I believe my IP address is dynamic as I log in to my router, it automatically detects my address is dynamic. Thats the most frustrating thing

What is the make/model of your modem & router?

Your ISP only supplies static IPs in Australia.

Be a miracle if you changed it.

Do you have an all in 1 modem and router? can you get the stand alone cable router? Dsl is also usually more straight forward getting a new ip
