Unistall Broadband from other user accounts

Hi ,is there anyway I can uninstall my broadband from my other user accounts ? So it can just work on my non ebay user account.

I have other peeps in my house that use the broadbands wifi and when I log on to my stealths I have to unplug the hub to use my dongle and they can't use the internet .

Also I don't want to risk loosing connection to the dongle and the banned wifi turning on automatically.

Without knowing what operating system you have, it is possible to disable the broadband connection from the Control Panel and use the dongle for internet connection.

tell us what you are using so we can help.

Majority of systems can be tweaked to be great for stealth.

Like Greenie stated, put out the setup for help - there is usually a way to turn off your computer's access to wifi so you can use dongle ONLY. This way you can leave wifi in your house for your folks.

There is a way to turn the WIFI off , I disconnected the settings and turned it off from my router but luckily the first time I was still cautious even though it was disconnected and before logging in the first time checked and some how the computer was still on the same IP from the router

Now I just pull the Ethernet cable from my modem , that way it's definitely not attached

Because even with the wifi setting disconnected and the off wifi button on my router it still was feeding from it so just be cautious, every system works different

If you are using Windows then you can disable your broadband connection like so:

1. Right-click the network icon at the bottom right hand side in your toolbar.
2. Click Open Network and Sharing Centre
3. In the left panel of the new windows that just popped up click Change Adapter Settings.
4. Identify which connection is your broadband, usually "Ethernet" or "Local Area Connection". Then right-click it and select Disable.
5. Connect to your dongle then check your IP has changed here.

To re-enable the connection repeat steps 1-4 but select Enable at the end.

Disabling is what I was looking for - thanks Markk :thumb: - I did this way back for my laptop on dial-up...very important because when dial-up FAILS (e.g. gets cut-off), I do NOT want the computer going onto my WiFi signal

Hi thanks I know how to disable the connection to my broadband but if my dongle cuts out / disconnects the broadband automatically goes on .

What I am looking for is for the broadband to only work on my admin user account which I don't use for ebay.

I am using windows 7 , with virgin super hub for internet .T mobile dongle for stealth.

In that case you should disable your broadband network adapters in Device Manager, they will have to be manually re-enabled now and it won't happen automatically.

I did that exact thing disconnected by rift clicking on the Internet icon, what me notice was when tether ING it's much slower so the page loaded fast and I checked even though connection was disconnected it sonehowcstill gave me the IP from my ISP now I pull the other Ethernet to be safe

Are you using windows computer? You can select only 1 network for your computer to use for Net access - dont enter the broadband password automatically...that way if dongle fails, your computer simply has NO Net access,
