Any safe Canada IP address (VPS)?
 

I have searched online and there lots but not sure if they are safe. Any suggestion?

It is possible to use a VPS, however it is not ideal.

If you want to do this, I would look for a provider that is NOT on the first few pages of Google and is NOT super-cheap. eBay knows about the larger VPS providers and the cheaper ones are overused.

just Re-start your modem and you will usually get a new IP address.

In my country the only people who have static IP addresses are people who request a static address or people with businesses. Not sure if it's the same everywhere else in the world.

You just have to keep track of the IP addresses your modem gives you like keeping each IP you get in some type of database so you know which IP goes with which account and to not re-use the same ip with another account.

that is the best and safest method.

VPS is only good if are trying to spoof your location and pretend you are from another country. which you aren't really doing because your flag says you are from canada. :/

Do not expect others to share their 'secrets'. Too many using the same VPS will be harmful.

Why do you need a VPS if you are located in CANADA?

Sure there are many.

What's your reason for needing one?

Late pages of Google 15+ as jeffweico suggested - could also do dongle, cellphone tethering, dial-up...all based in Canada (which you seem to be OP)

Thanks to this forum, page 15 of google has been swamped by users seeking that magical VPS....

Not practical now. Over done and abused.

:( then other pages for the OP - would recommend dongle, not cheap like US but hey, does the trick - data plan is fine if no livestreaming or big downloads...keep it straight just for eBay/pp

Dial up is great as always but takes a different mindset...slow connection + landline phone jack needed

it seems not working because i am using cable wireless, i tired but doesn't change the ip. my concern is does ebay care about ip address that need to login in with same ip or different ip is fine as long as the IP is not blacklist by Ebay or paypal? x

Cable can be static depending on provider.

Different IP is fine as long as you are NOT using the same IP across multiple accounts...that's why you keep track of what you use...

i am using taksavvy, i used roger before and I guess Ip change once a while but takesavvy doesn't

Tethering refers to using a phones internet connection, a dongle is a device that provides internet for devices.

Got it. Thanky. Im hoping to throw my IP to specific locations. I spose that means a VPN or good ol dial up.

VPN is not suggested ever ( at least by me ).

Dial up is widely available for Canada but very slow.

Fall back option would be VPS.

Go over creating a Canadian account and see if all could be done:

bank account needed

Canadian address needed

If you have 'go' there, then ISP is your last choice.

Dont forget you still have to account for Canadian taxes

Good points Greenie thank you. I am still stumped with the Canadian Bank Account bit. I spose Ill take your advice and focus on that part first.
