I read the stealth book and it talks about resetting the ip address on the router. The problem is with this is that I live with my parents and if I change the ip address the 4 computers in the house will change. From what seen on all the computers we all have the same ip address. If I got a cheap service provider for this one computer and changed the Ip address would this make it so ebay could not see that is the same address as the one that was banned? Of course I will be changing everything about the account. I just need some info about this to make sure.

Yes, that could work very well, also a dongle would be a good option. I find a dongle more reasonable because it can be used on any computer including laptops which is great if your stealthing on the road.

Some people might also use their own cellphones for phone tethering.

How would a doggle help me? The computer I am using already uses the wireless internet in my parents house. If I used a doggle would ebay find out it was me and shut me down? Phone Tethering is a good point but I use the ebay app on my phone and would ebay catch that If I used the wireless internet on my phone?

A dongle would have a sim card to a data network which has a large ip pool and would not be related to any current ip internet you have used before inc your home one.

Once removed, the IP is reset allowing you to use it for multiple accounts if you wish, just make sure you track your ip address and log it every time with ip burger.

You also need to clean the computer and use a new windows user for each stealth account.

So it would change my Ip address but connect to my wireless internet in my house that I am already using. Then I just have to create a new user account on my windows 8 and I can get back on ebay?

Where did you get the idea that ebay/PP would shut you down? a Dongle (USB Modem) is one of the most recommended things, but perhaps you are confused.

A dongle is it's own service, you pay to get service to your dongle, AND no you won't get shutdown! I've been using a dongle for a long time and have zero issues.

I hope your using the ebay app with just 1 account....using the ebay/paypal app across multiple accounts will link them and may cause problems.

I would not recommend phone tethering at this point for you because in order for this work you would require to log IP's and since your using ebay/Paypal app I honestly feel you would most likely log into multiple Ebay/Paypal accounts with 1 IP.

IT doesn't connect to your wireless....It is its own service....

You really should pick up the Ebay Stealth Book, it covers all the important things.

Thanks for the info on the Dongle. Do you recommend one that is great to use? I never heard of this untill now so I was just wondering. Also would I need a different user account to have this work? I heard that if I use a new user account on my computer the cookies and the tracking things that ebay uses do not show up on other user accounts if you have not logged into ebay with those accounts.

You would use one user account per eB/pp combo - quite a few recommendations on the forum by MM78 but will leave the US dongle recommendation to the US folks :thumb:

Thanks guys for the advice. Anyone who lives in the United States who is suggestions about the best dongles to use let me know. I want to try to get back asap
