How to change MAC address on Thompson Router
 

I am trying to change my routers MAC address so that I can reset it and get a new IP address. I can access my routers admin pages, but can see no way to change the MAC address.

Can you tell me how to do this?

Why don`t you just turn off and on your modem? Tried it? with a wait period between

Yes. Tried that. A few times. It doesn't work :(

Does it support MAC address cloning and have you tried that?

Which version of Thompson router do you have?

Thompson router: TCW770TH . Is that what you mean?

On the router admin pages, I go to Network, WAN, then have tried changing the Spoofed MAC Address number. Changed the last 2 digits, applied changes, rebooted the router. Still have same IP address.

Also called my provider, who says i do have a dynamic IP address.

Not sure what to try next!
