IP Change For Belkin: Alternative suggestions

I am having a great amount of trouble changing my IP Address. I attempted the whole "MAC CHANGING" process but instead it just gave me NO internet connection...which resulted in my brother punching me in my face. (ouch) So I had no choice but to switch it back to its original MAC ADDRESS. What am I doing wrong? Thx

It would help if you could detail your set up.

1. Internet service/company?
2. Modem make/model?
3. Router make/model?
4. Sister's bust size with pics?

3 out of 4 answers will help.
