IP Address from desktop to Laptop
 

Ok I already have a WIFI connection on my desktop. I have a Verizon dongle

that has trouble working probably because I already have a wifi connected to my

computer.

So I take my dongle and use my moms laptop, I checked to see if it was a

different IP and it was in fact different. I went to attempt to make my first

stealth acc, but when I went to eBay my mom was logged into her account :(

Does that mean I can't use her laptop since she has already used eBay and has

an account? Can anybody help

If you use the same user account on your mom's laptop to create the new account, then Yes.

You have 2 major things going against you...

1. IP address
2. Cookies (you didn't mention this, so I have to assume you are using the same Windows user account).

IP address would not necessarily link you alone to your mom's account, but the combination of the same IP + cookies would.

Create a new user account on your mom's laptop.
Get a new IP from the dongle.

That should cover your 2 major hurdles.

What Anonymous$ said is great advice. You have a lot of choices for IP change though. I am liking VPN and now have 2 stealth accts. using it.

And if I were to go to a library and try it, would I need to create a new user

there if I even can.

Avoid the library (and any public wifi). More than likely, those IPs have already been burned.

You want to have the ability to control the IP. Using any public wifi IP takes away this.

You can use your mom's laptop with a new IP from your dongle and a new user account on that laptop.

Dont use the library - that IP is likely to have already been abused my many people...

Turns out I can't make another user account on my moms laptop because it's

her work laptop. So I find myself in a little pickle.

Like I said I have a Verizon wireless dongle.

Very eager to create my stealth acc.

Any help or advice thanks.

Start reading the correct parts of the forum to find out how to function with stealth accounts.
