Is there a way to tether with Android Samsung galaxy s3 with att for free. or you gotta pay the 15 monthly. thanks

I did try searching. i tried several apps all says need to call at&t for tethering. Crap lol

What you need to do is unlock your device then try tethering apps.

U dont need to unlock nothing. No root.

nope tried many apps all failed. all say need to call provider. only way is to unlock i see

Tethering has nothing to do with unlocking your phone

Rooting ur phone is what ur thinking of Unlocking your phone is only to allow it to be on different cell company to be compatible.

U dont need to root. Not giving up main way, but heres one way. Not my main way but works.


But download pdanet. Use usb tethering option. Once installed on ur computer as well. Go to pdanet settings on computer and hit options. Hide tether usage. It will say no hide. Level 1 and level 2. Click level 1 usage to hide.

Make sure. Usb debugging mode is on. Thats on ur phone under developer options. Must use usb tether.

Thats the easiest way I can help. Many others work. If it dont then u did it wrong. Wife got same phone and att. Do it for her lots. Hope that helped. If not. Root phone install new kernal etc

Wow you can't find ways to root a galaxy s3. That phone is so easy to root. There is millions of users and videos on the process for that model phone. It's one of the most popular phone in the US.

The problem with some or most of these free USB apps is that you can't get into a HTTP website(s), or a website that requires some kind of password, like ebay, paypal, bank websites until you pay them to have that access.

And plus you would need to install the USB problem with every "user profile" account for the program to function. I find it easier to root my phone, get access to a free tether program and enjoy unlimited access to HTTP websites. And I dont need to drag around another cable, USB cable.
