Default IP address won't change and it's dynamic, please help!!

I have followed every direction on how to change the ip address using the stealth guide. First I bought a new router, connected it, reset the modem waited 5 minutes, no ip change.
I then tried manually changing the MAC address and then checking my ip address again on IPBurger.com and it still stayed the same.
When I look up my ip address through the router http://192.168.1.1/
it doesn't match with what is on IPBurger...does that matter??
I know that my connection is dynamic, so I am confused as to why nothing seems to be changing my ip.
Not sure what else to try, please any help is appreciated!

First of all, what ISP do you use. Some supply their customers with what is called a sticky IP. This may be dynamic but is very very slow to release & be changed.

Dont worry because there are solutions & options. For example, you could consider a dongle. Depending on the number of stealth accounts wanted, I would actually go for this option.

The other option is your trusty mobile phone too.

Thanks very much for the reply! My isp is Virgin broadband. I have heard that sometimes their ips are very hard to change, so this could be the case.
I agree with you and think I am going to go the dongle route.
Are any dongles preferred more than others? (type or plan needed, etc)

Good news.

Its a bit long winded, but works a total treat when you get it working.

I would invest in a remote plug, a device that allows you to turn the power supply to the on and off. Saves you having to get up each time and unplug the Hub.

If you keep track of your MAC address you can often get an old IP address back without too much of a problem thanks to Virgins long lease time on IP's
