VPN Tunnels & Changing IP's ???
 

Hey guys first post here... I have a decent quality VPN service in place.

However when I connect to a server and then log out and log back in the IP changes every time?

Will I not get flagged by EB or PP for my IP changing every time I log into my accounts??? I understand some people have dynamic IP address so this may not be the case but just thought I would double check.

I am planning to start a spread sheet to keep track of what IP's I have used to log into my account as when I create a new stealth account if I log into that account with a IP that has been logged by ebay for the other acc this could link my account is this correct??

So would it not be better to have a stand alone dedicated IP VPN i.e where the IP is the same every time I log in, for each separate account would this not be easier?

Well, if you have a different IP address every time you connect then you run a greater risk of hitting a "dirty ip". Having a static one is best in my opinion

Are you actually based in the UK? And are you trading on PP and EB UK?

If so there is no need for a VPN, just use a dongle or phone tethering.

I'm also in the UK and this is also a question for me.

What do you mean by dongle? A separate internet connection via dongle?

That would mean having two internet connections. One for usual home use, and the dongle for doing business?

I have been wanting to get a VPN anyway. In which case fixed IP seems to be the way to go.
I don't know of any free vpn services that provide this.
VPN4ALL and Earthvpn are the only two I am currently aware of that provide fixed IP at reasonable price (around $7/month)

Welcome to the forums - best to avoid VPN altogether - dongle, cellphone tethering, your own dynamic DSL line...all worthy options to consider.

Even a VPS as last resort - research it

I'm from UK but living in Eastern Europe so VPN/VPS is vital, I sell.mostly on EBay UK
