Tethering -Am I getting this right?
 

I have an HTC phone with a wollies sim $26 a month. So what I do is turn my silly dodo off -as its static. Put the phone on wifi hotspot. Now, is that all I need to do and I am good to go?

When you put your phone into hotspot mode you need to make sure you keep track of the IP changes between accounts.

Nothing is quite good to go when you use a wifi hotspot.

It is crucial you check your IP each time before you use the phone.

Make sure you are operating in true wifi....

Thanks. So what is 'true Wi-Fi' ? On this phone It has ,usb tethering , vpn , portable Wi-Fi hotspot and then Wi-Fi. I have been clicking on the Wi-Fi hot spot -not sure what the others things are or the difference between the Wi-Fi and portable wifi. Yes I managed to do the .I.P spread sheet thing so hopefully all good there. so between different accounts, as long as the ip is good to go then nothing else on the phone will give me away? Sorry if this all all very basic I just need to know the phone itself has nothing else attached to it -and I don't know how to write what I am trying to say either !!

verify your ip address is changing when using the airplane mode to take it on/off the account

if it does, you're good to go
