Close IP addresses, still ok?

Hey guys!

I've been using my Sprint phone (HTC EVO 4G) to tether with PdaNet+.

Simply turning the mobile data off and back gives me a new IP.

However, they're often really close to each other.

I'll get xx.xx.xx.177 one time, then xx.xx.xx.178 another time.

Is that little bit of difference enough make logging into different accounts ok, or is there a problem if they're only different by the last digit or two?

The two octets are never close imagine 177=10110001, and 178=10110010, in binary.

Thanks guys, don't have to be hesitant to login to more than one account now.

Just continue to track IPs between the accounts, you don't want to mix them up.

Especially since the IP's are changing by only 1 digit...it makes it that much easier to make a mistake.

as long as 1 number changes, its a whole new ip

Yeah definitely tracking the IP's with a spreadsheet.

It's just I'm so paranoid about linking that it was stopping me from getting started.

But new IP + new user account and all new personal details and I should be good to go.

Time to get back in the game!
