VPS - Still need new windows user?
 

Do I still need a new windows user if I am running a stealth account on a VPS?

Or since it's technically all through a remote desktop, I should be good since IP and cookies/files are all separate from my computer?

Pretty sure I'm fine as long as I keep my main account logged in on my PC, and my stealth account logged in through the VPS... but figured i'd make sure by asking all you knowledgeable individuals.

(Primarily since my PC is somewhat outdated and it takes a good 2 minutes to switch users...)

I plan to run 3-5 stealth accounts on 3-5 separate VPS servers... Is it OK if they are all on the same windows user?

That'a silly silly silly idea.

If you are in the USA, you can make easier and better use of dongles and phone tethering.


If you run 3 accounts on VPS, ebay will see 3 accounts with a similar range of IPs.... that may be enough to link you.

Doesn't quite answer my question, but thanks for the heads up.

But couldn't I technically just get 3 VPS from different locations/companies?
The IP ranged shouldn't be anywhere near similar then right?

I could try the phone tether method to my PC via USB, but data seems iffy at times and rather have a static IP per account via VPS that I can note down/track.

Because of the cost to get safe VPS.

A dongle will be much cheaper and effective.

Hmm thanks i'll look into dongles - looks like they run around $20-40.

I assume with a dongle, I'd only need 1 for 3-4 stealth accounts? Since it changes the IP each time its reset or something?

Looks like a basic 4gb data Verizon dongle runs around $50 a month (which I guess will come out to around $60 after taxes and other bs).

I picked up a basic, lowest-end VPS for $13 a month - it's a tad slow, but it gets the job done. I guess until I get more than 4/5 stealth accounts up and running, it may be cheaper to just use VPS on 2-3 accounts.

Yes, although wont automatically cause problems unless you use same IP on different accounts, once they suspect you of linked accounts similar IP's will be damning evidence

I'd be extremely surprised if the clowns @ eBay can actually see your full unique IP, more likely there will be a box on their console showing if your account is linked to any others by IP.

Using concurrent IP's on any given subnet certainly is not a problem.
