Ebay isn't suspicious about new IP each time?
 

OK...so, this question may have been answered 250 times already, but I can't find it! When you start tethering a stealth account to a iphone, you are going to pretty much have a different IP address every time you log in, so maybe several in 1 day.

Ebay doen't consider this suspicious?? It doesn't raise a red flag?

no it doesnt because some people use mobile apps etc..

But a creating a new windows user account on same ebay account would cause flags.

No...I'd keep the same as have been using...I just have not been tethering....so instead of the same IP each time as now...all of a sudden, it would be tons of different ones...I though maybe that would freak them out?

So long as cookies are in place its fine to have different IP addresses.

was this iphone already used on ebay?

does it have the ebay app downloaded?

if the reply is yes, then you are playing with fire.

I do know better than that after reading....no, I'm going to buy another iphone specifically for that and have it wiped clean, so to speak, before it is put in use.

Do you really need to use the APP that much?

Best to just avoid it all together IMO

FYI, if you still want to go ahead with it, and you buy a used iPhone cleaning it will not prevent linking it to the previous owners eBay account if they also had the eBay APP.

You are still missing what you read.....

AVOID the ebay app.

MM78 proved that the T&S of using that app could betray stealth usage.

In your own best interests, AVOID.

I guess I worded my response wrong....I didn't mean buy a phone to put th ebay app on...I meant buy a phone JUST for tethering...no, it will not, nor ever has, according to the previous owner (who bought it new) had the ebay app on it....I think you thought I meant buy a phone just to put the ebay app on....sorry.... I DO know that it is death.

And, even if I got a phone that did previously have the ebay app, MM78 say's that if you get rid of that app, it does not affect tethering after it is deleted from the phone...I'm pretty sure I read that...

You do not need a new phone to tether.

The IP range is determined by the ISP, not the phone.

Cookies are important to keep in place - I get different IPs all the time too on my computer.

I never touch that APP on the phone

I guess no one believes me...but I know not to have the ebay app on a phone thats being tethered....period. BUT, I have read that if a phone did have that app and it was deleted, then tethering is no problem.....lastly....I would NEVER tether with a phone that contained the ebay app....I never questioned that...
