Re: IP Ranges?!

The range depends on the nearest CellPhone Tower...As you move the range changes.

From Land's End to John O-Groats is fine.

Provided your IP turns up still within the area of England, Scotland & Wales, there should be no problem.

My North-west address on the Merseyside often has a down south location of Essex.... bit posh that ;)

Conversely, accounts in the South West have shown a location of Tyneside.

All is OK with both paypal & ebay. My accounts have their user accounts & cookies in place.

Signals to give you the ability to use the internet come via mobile towers placed around the country. [these towers never move though they are called mobile ;)]

All ISPs ( in every country) have the means to change which tower gets the (best) signal to allow its users to use the network.

On the forum we often suggest checking 'reception' for the best quality signal.

For a giggle here's Virgin's coverage map. ( Uses the EE network in any case)...

Virgin Media - Virgin Media - Mobile Coverage Checker

levi', some areas will have better reception than others as well.

Hope this helps.

Ok I get that thanks greenBean. My only problem is when I log onto ip burger....I get the current address then, the top 2 lines reading the ip and the web browser. Then the rest are blank so I have no idea where my actual address is placing me. Hope I have explained this well enough..
