I know they cant link you just on ip address.
there are millions of people using the same ip's that others use.
I mean If one didnt know anything about stealth would log in at starbucks even tho johnny x was on there on his banned accout and large cities .
just saying if i have many accounts selling differnt items and not change ips would this really that big a chance?
My friend has done this for years with no problems even had accounts go down and the others stay up and going but most of his items are low risk thanks for the help

Not logging IPs and using them across mipultiple accounts will link your accounts this is basic , and not up for discussion, despite what you heard you must use different IPS that you have used on any other previous account , this will link your accounts
And if someone operates in this careless way, yes they may not get shut down right away, but as soon as one account goes down they will all fall
It is one of the most crucial factors that are used for linking, IPS are an identifying number for users on the internet, and this goes beyond eBay or paypal
Other online forums, or any organizations will use an IP to specifically try and prevent a banned usr from logging back in by blacklisting the IPs a person is associated with
Why do,all the work and just throw it out on something that takes literally one second to log an IP

aspkin or 'a friend'?
I put my money on aspkin.

Its so easy to change IP addresses and so easy to make sure that they are not used why not just do it?
Trying to take short cuts leads to accounts getting locked down.

Sometimes you get lucky with ip mistakes. The thing to do is when you go back to the first acct, go in with a Fresh IP then go in the second acct with a Fresh IP too. All done on another day(s) if possible, the better. Only if you haven't been shut down obviously.

This is a true story, I dont log any IP address'.
I change the IP address when I do move to another ebay/paypal account but I never have logged any IP address. But once I change the IP address and move on to another ebay/paypal account, I dont log into that ebay account until the next day.
I have never been linked with old ebay/paypal accounts. I do other methods of not being linked, like pictures or new "user accounts", etc etc.

no, i don't need to worry about changing the ip, as i am using VPN to login my ebay and paypal every day, the ip will be changed every time when i log in, i don't have this issue.
and one small tip: better not clear your cookies, and not change your mac address, just let them know you are the one who owns this account.

Wow, interesting , you never log an IP.... That's amazing that you were never linked , do you only operate no more than 10 accounts?

A. You have no idea who else is using the VPN
B. eBay can lock you down if your IP comes from a VPN
C. You are not guaranteed a new IP every time you log in. Quote:

It takes 60 seconds to get a new IP and 5 seconds to log it. A tiny amount of effort.

It takes me 3-5 seconds to get a new IP address unless my phone wants to be anal and not pick up a 3g or 4g signal. Then I would need to restart the phone should takes a long 1 min process.
I operate between 10-20 accounts all the time. I change my main selling products about every few months.
I think rsot said he doesn't also log his IP address.

I do agree apskin is 100% the man I am just saying there is more to linking you with just the ip's I know online game you can get banned well your ip address anyways So yes its a 2 way street. My friend is the closest to a pro i guess i would say that i know runs over 100 accounts and is like a machine no idea how he keeps up with all the questions direct pp sales... I know he never worries about ip's If they target you i know this is a weapon but i dont think that just ip's will link you I have seen him lose a acount and the rest is fine been this way for years he keeps telling me i am wasting time with the ip's
Anyone ever tried to burn one account and keep another account in good standings and see what happens if using the same ip??

Ebay has different levels of violation strength. Kind of like a parking ticket to a
police chase. But they all have the same MC name.
I've had closed accts that link to other accts because way back in the past I shared an IP (mistake)... both got closed.
Sometimes they will close one acct but leave the other accts alone (sharing the same PP)! I quickly change users/ip's just in case.
Either way, a flag is a flag always best to let it sleep for months.

one thing i do when one account pp goes down and another eb goes down i direct payments for one closed pp to another acout that eb closed but pp is still good i figured it would only last a few days but its still up and going over 3 months now so htey must not be watching it very closely just a thought before just giving up on accounts anyone ever try this?? I mean at that point worst that can happen is pp lock up for 180 days but i just keep the balance low just in case
