Default IP address - 1 year later

It's been 1 year (perhaps longer) since signing into an eBay account on this Wi-Fi network I'm using. However I completely forgot the username & password I used. Over 1 year later now, do you think it would be safe to create a new account over an IP that I likely haven't used?

I'm almost certain my IP address is dynamic (changes) by the way

If your IP address is dynamic, why should you worry about signing into eBay? Have you been tracking your IP?

I didn't track it for this account. It was my only one I was using over a dynamic Wi-Fi connection. The rest of mine are through a VPS.

I'm just looking to make a new account on that same Wi-Fi but want to make sure I won't be linked. I'm thinking it's unlikely since it's been over a year and my IP should have changed several times since then, but I just wanted to double check on here in case I'm missing something.

If it's the ONLY potential link...IP...I have done this without issues. Yes, you want to minimize any links but over a year of low use, the IP would be safe - if my opinion. But to be TRULY safe, avoid it then - your decision

It is very unlikely that you will get into trouble. Change the IP before accessing the account to cover the loop holes.
