Does anyone know if its easy to change ip address with virgin broadband?

Call them up, ask if the ip address is dynamic or static. If dynamic you shouldn't have many issues changing it.

Take a note of your IP address. Then leave the modem unplugged overnight. Check again in the morning to see what the IP is. Depending on your package the IP is dynamic in most cases. Then if necessary, contact Virgin to see what can be done. Also let the forum know the result,please.

Virgin BB advised that the IP address is dynamic and will change every time I log in. It is the same since yesterday, even though I unplugged the modem. I am using a router (not sure if this makes a difference). I noticed that the "Remote Port" keeps changing, so perhaps this is ok? I'll try leaving the modem off overnight...

You need to reset your router as well or your IP address will not change.

Log into your router admin and update the mac address. Reset your modem and cross you fingers you should get a new IP. It doesn't always work though.
