Is it more expensive than VPN? Don't forget it. We need 4-5 different IP address for stealth accounts. How much we need to pay monthly.

VPn is too expensive when your account(s) get suspended.

VPS costs what you want to pay to be successful in doing international business.

I never really needed to use a vps so I never studied it,and am lost , I would live to figure out what a vps actually is and how it works and the cost

I think a vps are just different servers based all over the world, and some how your able to log in and it's just like using a remote software kind of , you are logging in from your PC and able to access a server, with an OS so another computer that is in a different country and running off there IP, so it's like you are really in that country....???

Am I basically on the right idea of what a VPS is or am I way off??

And I think someone said that a normal price is $10 a month??

I guess this is based on how much memory you are using on the server, I'm guessing not much is needed if you are just operating an eBay account?

I'd love to learn more on VPS and virtual Machines, I never had to use one so never really budgeted any time to research and learn, but now I'm curious and want to,learn

Yep, pretty much DMShark.

It's a virtual computer you connect to.. Virtual Private Server. You log into it and you're connected to this computer similar as if you were using something like TeamViewer.

Why is this better than using a VPN with Dedicated IP? Im assuming it is because it cant be singled out as a vpn connection, right?

Is the general opinion now that VPN's are no-go, even with Dedicated IP address?

I need to set up a stealth account. VPN is easy. But rethinking it now.

Vpns are imo second choice , the ip is not unique. Many people can be using that same ip. Vps is a unique ip so less chance of the ip already being toast. Many people have success with vpns but got to find hidden gems and stay away from first ten pages of search results. Plus there is a port issue with vpns and they can be common even though I dont think I have ever heard anyone say that has caused a problem. A common port screams proxy or some sort of ip hiding is being done which I would consider a red flag. With vps you control the port

We have to differentiate between public IPs and dedicated IPs. Using a VPN with a public IP is of course out right crazy. That should be common sense.

How about with a Dedicated IP?

Most VPN services can offer dedicated IPs.

Using public IPs gets you flagged on any service. You often have to enter Captchas for human verification, or activate by phone when creating a Gmail address. You dont run in to those issues with a dedicated IP though.

Im not sure what mechanisms Paypal have in place to spot VPNs with dedicated IPs though.

I've tried vps, vpn, proxy, hotspots, and router reset. VPS would be my second option after the Router reset method.

VPS = Virtual Private Server, which is fine. This is preferred. Obviously you want to try your own local connection options first as it's cheaper.

Next would be a VPN which is virtual private network. This funnels your internet traffic through a 3rd party (the VPN provider), gives you the IP address set by the provider. You'll only want to use a dedicated IP address from a reputable company.

I don't suggest proxy connections.

Hotspots is something from maybe your mobile phone or wireless hotspot device (dongle), these are fine as it's' your own connection.

Thought I'd clear up a bunch of loose terms.
