T Mobile jet 2.0 for stealth
 

I am considering buying the t mobile jet 2.0 to set up an alternative way to access the internet. I was wondering if I would get a different ip address each time i connect or does t mobile assign a static ip with this device?

If they do, what companies should i look at to acquire different ip addresses?
verizon, internet 2 go, etc?

I used T-Mobile and I could barely get a new IP and the speeds were awful....but again that was my experience.

You really should get the verizon 760 or mifi 2200 (flashed by mm78) :clap:

Did you try T-Mobile yet? I'm considering tmobile as you get unlimited 2G speed data with them.

2G speed? Not even 3G? If you pay $15 a month for this service.. that's fine but anything more and I would seriously consider other options.

I have had the jet 2.0 for almost two months. I have to take it out for about half hour to get new ip. But yes it works if you can wait that long between log ins.

T-mo is fine. And yes, you will experience long waits between changes. The so-called unlimited data (after you run out of a data pass or are throttled to death:mad2:) is barely workable, though. They are so good at fine tuning the networks perfectly how they want it, technically. You cannot download anything when throttled. Sometimes, uploading to eB fails, too. The secret to downloading without it failing is DAP download accelerator plus. Just sayin.

I havent tried the t mob yet. from the above posts, i am considering other options. But, atleast tmob gives you internet until the time runs out, and not at the end of one month. I just bought an acer aspire one 725 for like 50 bucks cuz it kept shutting down randomly. Found a plastic piece jammed in the fan and now it runs perfectly. I am considering adding the 3g card to the computer and seeing what options i have with that.

Maybe there is a way to force the ip to chance faster than waiting 30 minutes? Is there anyway to change the mac of the device? that should make it change instantly.

Naah 30 minutes would be exagerating (i cants spell) the longest wait=15 minutes if it does fall in love with its IP.

Always have another device device connected to it or your in danger for the mysterious IP switch when your back is turned! I've caught mine 3-4 times change addresses on me while logged onto eB. The network was at a standstill/no page requests happening so I believe the IP wasn't seen by eB. If this ever does happen, just click that red X and close out the browser, quickly! Okay eB is like your girlfriend(s).. They remember and never forget anything!:croc: You can close your connection and eB will let you in without logging you in, again. That's IF your HOTspot hasn't been cheating!

So, I will NEVER log onto eB again that day at the least if I get a IP change on me because that may be a strong red flag! I wait it out and stay off.
