Do others in your house use the same modem?

Not sure quite what you are asking.

Let us know what ISP you use and what your modem is.

We can make sure the replies help.

This means you all have the same public IP. So yes, that is a red flag as it will link all accounts together.

That's a bad idea. You want to avoid any public areas that share IP address. You want to be in control of your IP.

Good news, this is the exact same setup I have. I have the Arris TM602G from Comcast with a Netgear N600 router.

Changing your IP should take no more than 30 seconds. You can even retain IP addresses when switching from one account to another Comcast if you re-use the same MAC addresses with the same account. This is important and takes practice and very good record keeping.

You can have a VPN in California and operate in NY (I do this also with one of my accounts successfully for a year +). IP Geolocation will not link you.

OP, read up on dongles or cellphone tethering...or get your own dynamic IP provider...don't share IPs or use public ips

So having a vpn where i'm in seattle but it shows im in dallas is not big deal you are saying. So i'm thinking of just keeping the vpn.. and if ebay calls for suspicion i can just say my work requires us to have a vpn right? But your saying geo tagging isn't a red flag as much since you have operated with different locations. But considering my family member using a account and sharing the same network.. Wouldn't the vpn be more of use then since i will be in "dallas" and family member will be in seattle washington... hmm if it gets too complicated ill just go start doing the tethering... Sometimes my tethering doesn't work... and i think i gotta search how to clear up the phone since i'v.e used tethering before on my phone to access my ebay account to purchase....

Why you are using VPN? When you have access to many IP from Comcast?

Well I guess cause I'm newbie... and also family member using same network.. who occasionally uses ebay but doesn't sell. So when I sometimes see ip sites that check not just your ip I see it shows provider name, area, and I think longitude lattiude.. and might get linked. If I have VPN that shows completely different I'm thinking it's safer?

VPN is overrated and overused.

Look to getting a dongle and having your own IP access if you are doing stealth.
