Anyone using IP blocks? any issue with consecutive IP?

Anyone using IP blocks? any issue with consecutive IP?

I was planning on using 29 designated IP addresses as an experiment but all 29 IP addresses are consecutive. I know last year paypal was watching for "similar ip" for payment reviews.

What have you guys discovered?

Have not use consecutive IPs - prefer the random variety and (+/-) log the IPs to avoid overlap.

I was thinking of running these 29 accounts with each one having a dedicated IP. BUT IP addresses are 02, 03, 04, 05 etc....

It's not an instant flag, but it could create links between accounts when they get looked at manually.

Better to use IPs from different blocks to be on the safe side.

I have this fantastic service and cant use it for ebay or amazon(well one acount each) and dont really need it for anything else at the moment.

Any of you guys using dedicated IP for private websites?

Most people don't do this.. which makes it safer for you to do it. Though it has been known that used and abused IP ranges are blocked by eBay/Paypal so treat your accounts well and know it is VERY VERY easy to link your accounts in this manner if eBay/PayPal wanted to do so.. so keep that in the back of your head.

I think I will try this at a further point in time. Create one account, add another account, etc...

Death of accounts might occur.

The ecommerce platforms look for similarities. Consecutive IPs are that.
