Not possible to change IP with my wireless router, help

So I have read ebay stealth, read a ton of info, tried real hard but my motorola wireless router does not enable me to change my IP or MAC address. I understand that netgear along with other wireless routers allow you to configure your MAC address which changes your IP but I can not change mine. I spoke with a tech guy for motorola and he said he really isint supposed to give info on this but told me to google proxies. I did, and I have a small understanding of how they work. My question is, should I use proxies to get past the ebay IP thing? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, I guess no one has any answers... I looked into getting dial up today, I think im going to do it. I have a line right next to my laptop and its cheaper then I thought. If I am not mistaking, this will change my IP every time right

Yes it will change. You're not the only one who doesn't get questions answered...join the club.

Proxies should NOT be used. eBay can detect them and will suspend you for using them. Dial-up is great but slow. I suggest using a MAC Address changer to change your MAc automatically.

half isp's dont let you change your mac adress for your ip. Your shyt out of luk. Also proxies will get you banned. Good luk

Just a note on this -- I tried this with my router. I have several computers and use cable. It wasn't changing no matter what I did. I finally called my router company - Linksys and forked over $39.95. Nine hours later - several fistfuls of hair pulled out -- new IP. Tech support walked me through a complicated network in 40 minutes. Money well spent.

My advise....... get dial up or a linksys router
