Three Dongles?
 

Hello,

So i would like to ask a question it may sound abit dumb :P

Anyway. I would like to know if Three dongles themselves change IPs or do the SIM inside change the IP when you connect to the web?

The ISP issues an IP to the dongle each time it is turned in simplest terms.
As soon as you turn the dongle off the IP is released into the IP pool to be reissues to another dongle.
Great for stealth needs.

So if i replace the SIM with a SIM which has been banned by ebay/paypal it doesnt matter? The dongle isnt banned by ebay or paypal i just ran out of data and dont have my cc info with me atm

Three is a UK brand for wireless dongles.. I had to look it up. :)

EBay/PayPal does not ban SIM cards. They have no access to a sim card.. that's used to connect with your ISP. All eBay and PayPal sees is your IP Address and as long as it's changing you're good to go.

There is no need to change the 3 simcard.
I have 3 of these dongles and have never changed my sim cards in them. The IP changes every time you take it out and put it back in the pc.. dont know why you would need some many sim cards for one dongle..

I also use Three dongles and they are good to go as long as you get decent reception in your area!

U cant put a phone sim in a dongle and tether as its against terms and conditions with all isp's and they will block you

But people in the know would NOT do that.

They would READ the conditions before making any purchase.

Otherwise they end up on a forum with issues

Not everyone is aware and he may of been thinking about swooping sims as his question is leaning that way

so if for example I had 5 Three dongles each with their own simcard & each only ever used with one stealth account-

Would it matter that an IP that was assigned to Dongle 2 on stealth account number 2 is later assigned to Dongle 4 to be used with stealth account number 4?

I've practically run out of IP addresses using my iPad on 3 to tether. Takes 7-10 times now to get a new IP. I haven't logged which IP has been used on which stealth account so need to rethink my logging.

Yeah if I swap a sim from my old dongle (old dongle sim was used for another eBay/PayPal)

It wouldn't matter as you have a pool of ip addresses with each dongle and i run 3 stealth's off one

What is the best price for these for around a 500mb-1gb a month

I cannot get my S4 to tether at all. (200 month three unlimited internet)

All pages saying website not available. But works fine on phones and tablets.

Would make no difference if the ISP is the same.

Three do a contract at £8 a month upwards.

Ipburger displays the location of the three IP on the map (where the dongle+sim is being used). Will this cause problems with an account in say Manchester and the IP is displaying in Reading?

No, there is no issue. It is important that the country matches. UK in this case.
