can eBay restrict me for using VPN to log in?
 

Could the use of a VPN service, in particular PureVPN, be a reason for selling restriction?

I can pick an IP address in my general geographic area but eBay will probably be able to figure out that I'm using a VPN service, if they bother to look into that. Do they?

I've been using VPN's for several months with no problem. You just have to keep track of IPs.

not for solely being a VPN, but if your supplied IP is shared with a suspended account then you're going to get booted.

I can't imagine every IP address stays "hot" indefinitely, but nobody knows for certain how long a bad IP stays bad.

most troubles come from large popular VPN hosts where IPs are shared widely among tons of users, which GREATLY increases the risk of getting linked to other accounts.

VPN services are known to be very problematic. You never know who else used them and it is most likely ebay and paypal monitor VPN services and the IP addresses they offer on a regular basis.
There are plenty of other options out there besides VPNs. I suggest you use one of those to stay safe.

Why are you not considering other options like dongle, phone tethering etc>


PureVPN has a high chance of being blacklisted.

Why? Other idiots have abused it.

Look at, and seriously consider your better choices, PLEASE.

There is no need to use a VPN if you are based in the US and you are selling on US Amazon.

Dongles and tethering are much much better options.

VPN likely to have been used and abused as well - go with James' recommendation
