First off sorry I realise there have been lots of threads about this before!
But probably going against this forum my other half & don't want to be stealth we just want to be normal ebay users again, with one account each again we can use mainly for buying stuff & on the odd occasion sell something.
Reading the
stealth guide again I realise my other half actually finally got banned by selling selling our kids old shoes of all things. She sold one set saying they were as good as Clarks, ebay took great offence to that. Then she sold a set that really were Clarks & they band her. She used my paypal so I was banned to. She was only making a few pounds on them, we have no intention of ever selling high risk items or trying to make lots of money on ebay, just make some money on old things that are lying about the house unused.
So I've got my own desk top PC I've just about got up & running again using the
stealth guide with out too much issue, but to be normal ebay buyers we really need ebay on our mobile devices or it's not much use.
She only has company devices & will never make enough to cover the cost of buying anything else.
I think I've established her company laptop now cannot be used as she is not an administrator on it (unless I could some how manually delete all the flash cookies on it? It would be a one off never switching accounts).
She has a company iphone 5s that she used the app on with the old account. From the searches I think that now can not be used at all? With her laptop it's her main work tool & can not be tampered with.
She has also got a company iPad that is useless for company work as it's not a 3G one so she has never used it for work. She has got the ebay app on it, it was the main ebay device she used for ebay duties. I could easily wipe so it's effectively a brand new iPad then down load the ebay app again or would the app still find something to link to the old account? I forget what happens when you set them up now, but it would not ever be connected to a PC or itunes, there nothing that needs backing up on it. if there is an issue with the app using the web browser wouldn't be too much of an problem, but for ease of use for a single user the app would be much better.
I have just inherited her old iPhone 4s, I will be wiping that before using it but I would really like to link it up to my itunes so I can copy the contents of my old 3Gs over to. My old 3Gs had the ebay app with my old account. I could remove that from itunes before syncing the newly wiped phone but I'm guessing there could still be something copied over that could be found if I then down loaded the ebay app to it? Using ebay though the web browser on the small phone screen is a real pain so I really like the app again.
I know you all say don't use the app, but as I said at the start we don't want multiple stealth accounts, just to be normal single users again.
