IP won't change
 

I tried resetting my modem and no luck for getting new IP.
I have Comcast and they registered my MAC router ( Lynksys).
Seems that my IP is static. Which is not logical to me since I don't have asked them.

Will VPN work for Etsy? I'm banned from Etsy and I need to open another shop.

I read through Ebay stealth, followed the guide but I'm stuck with the IP.

I'd appreciate any help.

VPN can work, but make sure to get a dedicated ip dont use any shared ips and use a reliable provider.

I Also have Comcast and it should be a Dynamic IP

Did you first go into your router settings and change the last 2 digits of your Mac Address, and once you click Apply, reset the Modem??

I went to my router page and there wasn't an option to change it.
There was an option of clone MAC address - should I do something with it?

I checked again and my IP is dynamic.

Buy/get second router (any model/brand). Connect it and check your ip. It will be different now. After 3-5 days - connect the first one. It will also have different ip which was not assigned before. This is all because of DHCP that will be refreshed within several days.

Click Clone and than reset your modem and router , when you clone the Mac it will change it , so try that and see if u pick up a new IP, and if you do get a new IP explore router settings more and u should be able to change ur Mac manually

Some routers will not support mac address change. As I know Cisco and several other brands will be able to do this...

I tried to clone MAC, nothing, the IP is the same.

I changed the MAC address as well, again, my IP is still the same.

Dont go wasting time and energy sweating over changing the MAC address.

New router will sort this or tethering your phone.

Aim for simpler and quicker workings.
